Jason Daisey

Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer

Jason is a nationally recognized leader bringing business discipline to non-profits and member organizations.  His most recent role was Chief Operating Officer at the WETA, the flagship PBS station in the Nation’s Capital.  There he led operations for all local and national efforts, including the PBS NewsHour, a classical radio station, managing relationships with outside producers like BBC News to bring content to the 150+ public television stations nationwide, and a team that worked closely with producers like Ken Burns, Dr. Henry Louis Gates, and the Library of Congress to bring award-winning programs to audiences around the globe.  Jason began at WETA in 2017 as CFO and was promoted to COO after a national search in mid-2018.  A key project over Jason’s tenure at WETA was leading the redesign and renovation with their headquarters along with a new build of studios and production spaces and the sale and leaseback of their old facilities to Arlington County. Prior roles as CFO at the Associated Builders and Contractors (a construction industry trade association) and North Texas Public Broadcasting (the PBS and NPR affiliates for the Dallas/Ft. Worth area), as well as VP of Finance at PBS National, allow Jason to leverage his financial acumen to drive strategy, improve board relationships and engagement, and generate new revenue streams to sustain organizations challenged by economic susceptibility.

Post-pandemic, Jason has taken time away from the corporate world and been focusing on incubating several agri-tourism opportunities on the farms he owns with his husband and spending time with their three-year old son who was adopted in the height of the pandemic.  Jason is one of the largest breeders of the endangered Cleveland Bay horse in the world and seeks to make the world a better place in all aspects of his life – professional and personal.
